Don’t think the Mopar 727 has 7 gears and a floor shift...
But it do. I seent it.

Haha, I can. I love them. But I was a punk-ass 20 year old who read Sport Compact Car, Super Street, and Turbo when the first one came out, and we ripped on it even then. Sat in the first row of the theater, it was fun. As mindless entertainment with cars in it goes, it can’t be beat.

727 cid? So...12 liters? Hope it’s all bore.

I’ll give a little. As long as it’s not taken seriously the series is almost as fun as Die Hard or Lethal Weapon movies. Almost.
But.. I have met or am possibly related to people that claim their car of the day was some special “FBI Spec” machine.

I meant the transmission. The Torque-Flite is otherwise known as the 727. The engine is probably a 318 with a JC Whitney faux blower on it. The film shows a 4-speed, but the audio clearly is an automatic.

And almost is all that matters. I watch a lot of fairly depressing historical documentaries, so when I just want to drink beer and see some stupid car shit, F&F is the go to.
Also, as to your possible relative/acquaintance... it’s got the cop motor, cop shocks, the model before catalytic converters so it’ll run good on regular gas...

Ah gotcha, never saw F&F or the sequels :-)

You are missing seven cinematic masterpieces. You owe it to yourself to binge watch them.

We deserve Trump. We did it to ourselves.
Thankfully none of my relatives tried the BB line. The best terrible movie.. Waiiit a second!

Fuck that, I sure as hell didn’t do it to ourselves, other people did!! Yeah, a lot of the documentaries center on American political history. Shit is depressing, but it is crystal clear how we reached this point.
The Blues Brothers is the best movie, period! Arguably. I don’t own many movies, but the F&F series and TBB are among them.

I won’t go into Illinois Politics and where we are as a country right now. But yeah.. We have been pushing this pimple since Ross Perot.
BB is awesome but I never put it in parallel with FF1. Mine eyes are open!

Spins tires, pops wheelie. Wut?
Still, I’ve watched them all and will watch the new ones.

Exactly. But I’m a sucker. I think I will have a hard time watching any new ones without Paul, just because it doesn’t seem right.

I read somewhere that in order for a car to do that, it would need somewhere around 3,000 lb-ft of torque.

Haha, yeah, Rod Blagojevich wasn’t exactly a shining example of moral fortitude ;). But my state elected the fucking Terminator. All I can think of at the mention of Perot now is SNL skits with Dana Carvey. Better to remember that than the actual shitshow.
I hadn’t thought to put those two films together either, but it’s making sense in a way. Who knew.

We have to be close in age.
As much as I hated Blago (I did a dance when he was found guilty) he didn’t crap on the state like Quinn did.. I feel bad for Rauner. He has years of fuckery to fix ahead of him.
California put the hurt on itself with Ahhnold. Much like Minnesota did with Jesse Ventura.

36. Yeah, Emanuel walked into a shitstorm. And I can’t think of Arnold without thinking of Ventura. Such celebrity fixation, which is coming to haunt us again.

Oh, Rahm will be OK. He didn’t smell what he was stepping in though. He’s slowly turning into a Daley. He’s already told suburbanites to stay out of Chicago if he can’t get the money he wants from a BK state.

I watched the first one and part of the second one. That was enough for me

The second one is a dumpster fire, I admit. The rest are fun mindless entertainment with cars in it.

I’d rather just watch Ronin on loop for 14 hours

I think I saw half of the first one and I watched Tokyo drift for the Konishiki scene really, I’ve been a sumo fan for a long time.

The second one sucks, but the others are all fun, I think. Tokyo Drift has its moments, I’ve come to enjoy it more.

It is also impossible to have enough traction to lift the front end off the ground and not enough traction to spin the tires.

I almost used that image for that very reason but thought the transmission was more ridiculous than the transmission.
